How to park in Venice?
Firstly, although it may seem obvious, we prefer to inform you that no cars circulate in Venice due to its layout; narrow streets intersected by canals.
However, at the entrance of Venice, near the train station, there is an open-air parking lot where you can safely leave your car for the day: Parking San Marco in Venice. It may not be the best parking lot in the world, but it was very useful for us.
The cost of the parking is around 40€ per day !
Please note that in this parking lot, you must leave the keys in your car as the staff may need to move it a space or two depending on arrivals and departures. Therefore, avoid leaving expensive items in your car... This detail really bothered us...
