Sigtuna

Runestones, the lake, and a relaxed vibe
What we love about Sigtuna is the mix of history and peaceful everyday life. We keep stumbling upon runestones as we walk around, as if they were just part of the scenery. We continue toward Lake Mälaren, where the lakeside path is really pleasant. We sit on a bench for a while, just watching boats go by and enjoying the quiet. The atmosphere is very family-friendly, with kids playing near the water and locals strolling around with coffee in hand.
A simple, convenient, and walkable town
Sigtuna is small but super convenient: cafés, restaurants, and little shops are all grouped in the center. You can do everything on foot, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. It’s the kind of place where we could easily spend a full day just exploring without rushing.
