Cap Taillat in Ramatuelle: our favorite hike in the area

One of the best hikes around

We start from the Escalet parking lot early in the morning, ready for what’s known as one of the most beautiful hikes in the region. The beginning is a bit intense: steep stairs, rocks to climb, and we briefly wonder if we overestimated our energy. But once that section is behind us, the trail becomes much easier and the views start to hit. The water is insanely blue, almost unreal, and we keep stopping just to take it in.

Walking all the way to the tip of the Cape

We follow the coastal path toward Cap Taillat. The walk is long but super pleasant. To reach the very end of the Cape, the climb gets steeper, but nothing too dramatic. We take our time, catch our breath, and eventually reach the top with an incredible view over the whole peninsula. We launch the drone for a few shots, and from above the place looks even more impressive. At one point, we take the wrong little path and end up in a rocky dead end — nothing serious, just a small detour that makes us laugh on the way back.

A full day out in nature

Between photo stops, breaks to admire the turquoise water, and time spent at the tip of the Cape, we quickly realize the day goes by fast. The walk back to Escalet is just as nice, even if our legs feel it a bit when we reach the parking lot. It’s definitely a hike we recommend if you want a mix of walking, stunning scenery, and peaceful vibes.
