Case-Pilote, one of the oldest villages in Martinique

During our stay in Martinique, we made sure to visit Case-Pilote, one of the island’s oldest villages. From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by its authentic atmosphere: quiet streets, a historic church, and a peaceful vibe that feels almost timeless. We enjoyed strolling along the waterfront, watching the fishermen return with their catch, and soaking in the simple, welcoming spirit that captures the essence of Martinique.

A delicious stop at Quinoa Beach

On the beach of Case-Pilote, we found a place truly worth visiting: the Quinoa Beach restaurant. We ate extremely well there, and the experience left a lasting impression. The planteur cocktail was outstanding, perfectly balanced, and the Caribbean plate allowed us to taste several local specialties. A special mention goes to the Christmas ham, which was actually a wonderfully smoky jambon boucané, tender and full of flavour. It was the kind of meal that enhances the whole visit and makes you want to return.

An atmosphere we share through video

To help our readers feel the atmosphere of Case-Pilote as if they were with us, we filmed a short video that we posted on Instagram. We are also sharing it on this page so everyone can soak in the village’s charm, the seaside setting, and the friendly vibe of Quinoa Beach.
