Pebble Beach in New York: a quiet break facing Manhattan
Getting to Pebble Beach from the World Trade Center
We decide to check out Pebble Beach, a small waterfront spot in Brooklyn Bridge Park. From the World Trade Center, we hop on the subway at Fulton St and take the A or C line toward Brooklyn. We get off at High St – Brooklyn Bridge, then walk a few minutes through DUMBO. It’s quick, easy, and feels like a complete change of scenery.
An urban “beach” with an amazing view
Pebble Beach isn’t a typical beach: no sand, just pebbles and a direct view of Manhattan. We sit on the rocks, watch the ferries go by, and enjoy the quiet. At one point, we try to take a photo with the Manhattan Bridge behind us… but a jogger runs through the frame at the exact moment. We keep the photo anyway — it’s part of the memory.
A perfect spot to relax
What we like here is how simple everything is. People come to chat, read, take photos, or just admire the skyline. We continue our walk through Brooklyn Bridge Park afterward, which is especially nice in the late afternoon.
