This primitive jungle scenery is Martinique

This is not Réunion Island

As soon as we started this hike, we felt as though we had stepped into another world. The vegetation was so dense and lush that we could easily have believed we were walking through the deep forests of Réunion Island. Yet we were very much in Martinique. Giant ferns, moss-covered trunks, and a heavy, humid atmosphere created the feeling of a primitive jungle. We moved quietly, as if the landscape demanded it.

This is not Costa Rica

The deeper we went, the more the scenery reminded us of the tropical forests of Central America. Strange sounds, shifting light, and the sense of raw, untamed nature surrounded us. It felt like travelling back in time, walking through a prehistoric landscape filled with vegetation that seemed millions of years old. That feeling of total escape stayed with us throughout the trail.

This is not a movie, this is Martinique

And then, at the end of the path, came the reward: Anse Couleuvre. A wild, almost hidden beach where the forest meets the sea in a striking contrast. This is where we filmed our video, in an atmosphere reminiscent of Jurassic Park, with the sensation of being alone in a preserved, untouched world. We are sharing this video on this page so everyone can experience that unique atmosphere, as if walking beside us through this wild and captivating Martinique.
